I'm Not a Fitness Expert. I'm Someone Who Got Tired of Not Trying.

Let me be straight with you from the start: I didn't build this store because I had it all figured out. I built it because I was 52 years old, carrying around more than 300 pounds, managing high blood pressure, and dealing with the kind of aches and pains that made it too easy to skip the workout and sit back down.

I'm Ishmael Burch III. And Healthy Orbit Fitness is my story as much as it's a store.

For a long time, I looked at the fitness world and didn't see myself in it. Everything was aimed at people who were already in shape, already motivated, and already halfway there. The marketing said "no excuses." The gear was built for athletes. I thought, okay, that's not for me. Maybe later. Maybe when I get started.

But "later" is a trap. I finally understood that the only version of fitness that would work for me was one I could actually sustain — not a crash, not a challenge, not a punishment. A steady orbit. Progress, not perfection.

That idea became the name. That idea became the whole store.

What "Healthy Orbit" Actually Means

Staying in orbit doesn't mean going fast. It means staying consistent. A satellite in orbit isn't sprinting; it's moving at the right speed to keep circling, keep going, and keep showing up. That's the kind of health I was chasing.

I'm not trying to become someone else. I'm trying to build a life where movement, recovery, good nutrition, and real rest are just part of how I live — woven in, not bolted on as some separate painful project.

So when I started putting together the store, I asked myself one question: what does my actual day look like, the one I'm working toward? Then I built the catalog around that answer.

A Day in the Life (Because the Store Makes More Sense This Way)

I ride my e-bike. Not to race anyone, but to get outside, move my body, and clear my head before the day gets loud. There's something about being on two wheels in the open air that resets everything.

I come home and take care of what I put in my body. A scoop of creatine, some omega-3s, and a glass of something I made in the blender. I track my heart rate, my steps, and my sleep because what gets measured tends to get better. I wear it all on my wrist.

After a workout, I recover. An infrared heating pad on my back. A foot massager after a long walk. Real rest, not just sitting and scrolling. Recovery is training — I had to learn that.

I also read. I'm constantly picking up something new about strength, nutrition, and how the body works at my age. Because I don't think the learning ever stops.

That's the store. Not just a catalog — a lifestyle. Everything in it is something I use, something I've looked into, and something that belongs in the life I'm building. If you're building something similar, I made it easy for you to find what you need without digging through a hundred sites trying to figure out what's actually worth it.

Who I Built This For

If you're in your 40s or 50s and health feels like it got away from you a little — this is for you.

If you're managing something: blood pressure, joint pain, or extra weight you've been carrying for years — this is for you.

If you've started and stopped more times than you want to count, and you're wondering if there's a version of this that actually sticks — this is definitely for you.

I'm not going to tell you it's easy, because it isn't. But I will tell you that the people the fitness industry tends to ignore — the ones starting late, the ones managing real health challenges, and the ones who just want to feel better and move without pain — those are the people I had in mind for every product in this store.

Mainstream fitness brands weren't built for us. Healthy Orbit was.

Let's Do This Together

I'm still on the journey. I'm still showing up, still working on it, and still figuring out what works. I share what I'm learning through the blog — workouts, hikes, gear I've tried, things that surprised me, and things that didn't pan out. The whole thing, honestly.

If you're ready to take a step — or take one back after some time away — I'd love to have you in the orbit. Look around the store. Read a few posts. And if you ever want to reach out, the contact information is right there. I actually check it.

It's about progress, not perfection. That goes for both of us.

The Importance of Community

Building a healthy lifestyle is not just about individual effort. It’s about community support. When you surround yourself with like-minded individuals, you create an environment that fosters growth and motivation.

Engaging with others who share similar goals can provide accountability. You can share experiences, tips, and encouragement. This sense of belonging can make the journey more enjoyable and less daunting.

Finding the Right Products

Choosing the right products is crucial for your health journey. You want items that align with your goals and support your lifestyle. This is where Healthy Orbit comes in. We offer a curated selection of wellness and fitness products that I personally use and trust.

From supplements to fitness gear, each item is chosen with care. I understand the challenges of navigating the overwhelming options available. That’s why I’ve made it easier for you to find what truly works.

Embracing Change

Change is often uncomfortable, but it’s necessary for growth. Embracing change means stepping out of your comfort zone. It means trying new things, whether that’s a new workout routine, a different type of nutrition, or even a new mindset.

I encourage you to take small steps. Each step forward is progress. Celebrate your victories, no matter how small. They all add up to significant change over time.

Conclusion

Your health journey is unique. It’s not about comparing yourself to others. It’s about finding what works for you. Healthy Orbit is here to support you every step of the way.

Explore our store, find the products that resonate with you, and join a community that understands your journey. Together, we can create a healthier, happier life.
